Our strict SOP may not be favourable and popular to some although we mean well. We might be different and extremely cautious from some other places, but here at Closer, when it comes to something as infectious as COVID-19, we want to be safe than sorry. We are overly protective because we hate to know if anything happens to any of our guests, family and team. We cannot afford the risk and be on the list. The consequences to pay due to negligence can't be taken lightly and ignored when it comes to lives/fatalities. That's why we do not want to regret and feel sorry that we did not try our best to protect the community we live in from being infected, affected and impacted. WE VALUE LIVES; that's why we are deeply committed and responsible to do our best to ensure safety is maintained when we open our doors for operation. All that matters to us NOW during this vulnerable and risky time is to protect you, our team and our community. Preventive efforts will not have a positive outcome if people fail to understand the importance of complying with simple but necessary SOP - be it at restaurant, work or public. Our strict SOP enforcement is our way to show we sincerely care about everyone's well-being. When we decided to offer dine-in during CMCO despite the rise in cases, we made sure that the message of SAFETY COMES FIRST is delivered. We make sure that we set and manage expectations right with the LATEST Dine-In Policy and House Rules implementation when our guests visit/choose us (Max 1 hour dine in, No Working, No Lingering, No Moving, No Group Activities, Minimize Socializing and etc.) to avoid any miscommunications and discrepancies. You will notice that we have placed printed posters, standee, notices everywhere on counters, walls and table-tops besides posting on Facebook and Instagram so that you and our guests are aware and politely reminded of courtesy and cooperation. Hence, you'll experience the new changes in operation as our trusted team was briefed to strictly enforce these policies and our guests are required to extend their kind respect and cooperation in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. Even though it may not seem sensible to our valued guests at times, but WE BELIEVE IT'S NECESSARY IN ORDER TO BE EFFECTIVE. We trust that effectivity to form a safer environment will be higher and longer if our guests play their part too and do it together with us. We are firm about our priorities and responsibilities during this critical recovery period, regardless of crowd/queue; With these extra careful measures we uphold, we want each guest we serve to be assured of safety when you are at Closer. The alarming rise of the cases amongst our community/country is troubling, although many had chosen to loose up, but that's exactly why we DO NOT want to encourage people to expose and spend too much time outside. We are still learning to live with it and no, we are not out of the woods yet. Our SOP is in place for a greater cause because we are playing our role in a collaborative effort to respond to our government's call to help prevent the spread and flatten the curve. We wouldn't compromise safety over pleasure during this critical time. We wish that our guests would understand our GOOD INTENTION in our effort to limit guests exposure to risk because all livelihood and family matters to us dearly. We are doing this for you and the people you and I care about. Please bear with us during this temporary phase where we try to encourage Eat & Go and limit time spent to reduce the risk of exposure to potential infection in order to keep you and others safe. We hope to get through this trying time and offer our space to welcome everyone again to a better and Closer experience in the future when it comes the time where it is a lot safer to resume.
